Fleece Longevity Guide

• Wash Inside Out: This is the #1 trick for fleece. It protects the outer "NuBlend" surface from friction against other clothes, which is what causes pilling over time.

• Machine Wash Cold: Use cold water with like colors. High heat can break down the polyester fibers and cause the cotton to shrink, affecting the fit of the elastic waistband.

• Use Mild Detergent: Avoid bleach or harsh "heavy-duty" detergents that can strip the softness from the inner brushed fleece.

• Skip the Fabric Softener: While it sounds counterintuitive, liquid fabric softeners can actually coat the fibers and make them more prone to "shedding" or pilling over time.

• Tumble Dry Low: High dryer heat is the enemy of elastic. To keep the waistband and ankle cuffs snappy and secure, use a low-heat setting or hang them to dry.

• Do Not Iron Decoration: Never run a hot iron directly over the print. If they need a quick de-wrinkling, use a steamer or iron the garment inside out on a low setting.
